A Kaleidoscope of Words and Works

We read, we write, we share.

Our latest AWLC@Night event featured a variety of readings by a talented group of AWLC writers. Some brought us to tears. Some had us laughing til we cried. Others brought back memories. And some warmed our hearts and reminded us of why we are here.

A Kaleidoscope of Words and Works was an innovative evening, combining the presentation of awards to the recipients of AWLC’s Education Fund grants with the sharing of a variety of readings by an international lineup of AWLC writers. Time for mingling and conversation along with snacks and wine made the evening a festive event in the salon of the art gallery at ICPNA in Miraflores.

If you missed the first writers’ night, you’ll want to know that there will be more. The excitement generated by this first of its kind evening ensures there will be more creative sharing events in the near future, highlighting various creative arts, with participation from members of AWLC and the larger community. You can still see the program from this event online at https://awlckaleidoscope.splashthat.com

Meanwhile there are still copies of the book compiling the readings of the evening available. You can purchase one at the next AWLC general meeting for 30 soles. To make it a true collector’s  edition, you might like to ask some of the readers to sign your copy. If you cannot attend the meeting and you would like to purchase a copy of the readings, please contact awlcinperu@gmail.com. Request to be put in touch with a member of the AWLC Writers Group, who can help facilitate the transaction.
