We are so proud and excited!  "Fresh Flavors!" won the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2013 in the category Best Charity & Fundraising.  

Author, Chef and Past AWLC Vice-President, Kim Allen-Jones visited the Beijing Cookbook Fair this past May 19-21, to receive this prestigious award on behalf of AWLC.  Here is a brief summary of the exciting day!

Congratulations Kim and Kathi Huber, AWLC Past-President and contributor to the cookbook, for this fine accomplishment which can only help augment proceeds for AWLC Social Services and Education support in literacy and educational projects for some of the neediest children in Peru.

This book was born as part of the celebrations of our 90th Anniversary in 2012.  Former First Vice-President, Kim Allen Jones, put variations of the best recipes from our previous cookbooks along with some new recipes developed by Kim, our excellent and widely recognized Chef. All dishes are shown in beautiful pictures, making this book a fine addition to the cooking library of anyone who likes good food.
