From a visit to the beach, to the International Potato Center, we regularly organize outings for our AWLC members, and on occasion, their friends and family.
Outings are usually held monthly, and programmed in our Calendar of Events. If you are an AWLC member, and would like to participate in any of our outings, please write us at firstname.lastname@example.org, for more information.
We usually meet at Union Church where we take a bus, and pro-rate the cost among participants. Due to safety issues, the bus leaves from and returns to the Union Church without any extra stops.
The outing to the MALI was exciting and a complete success. We started with the Peruvian Academy painters (and some works from the Indigenints Movement) which is a new exhibition and absolutely breathtaking. From there we moved to the famed Nazca exhibition. Since its discovery at the beginning of the 20th century, Nazca has dazzled the world by its striking pottery and fine fabrics, hydraulic technology - underground galleries known as puquios - as well as by its impressive geoglyphs, huge drawings on the pampas, whose nature and function remains a matter of great debate.
A perfect outing for a perfect day. We couldn't have chosen a better day to visit this historic home. The weather was perfect and no traffic. We were fortunate and privileged to have Gonzalo de Aliaga, a member of the sixteenth generation of "de Aliagas" who is living in the house, welcome and give us a personal tour of various rooms.
